Paris Street Sign Photography
Photographie de Paris
Paris Photography - Paris street signs are wonderful elements for photography as they can put context to the image and while the scenery may not be immediately identifiable, the placement of a sign within the photograph puts an unmistakable 'accent' to the picture. And there is fewer places that provide better context signs than the beautiful city of Paris.
The context that the sign places for the image is not only from the wording of the sign, but the nature of the sign and the textures around. Iconic examples of Paris photography can be found all over the city from the Paris Metro (Métro de Paris) to Montmartre which is an area known as a place of artists, cafes, restaurants and of a life more Bohemian. Paris streets are full of wonderful street signs that are unique to the city and a wonderful photographic subjects. Many famous artists lived and stayed in the area including Salvador Dalí, Modigliani, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh. There are never ending opportunities to motivate any photographer to add Paris photography to their repertoire.
The city sits elegantly on the banks of the river Seine, in northern France, at the heart of the Île-de-France region (or Paris Region). A significant settlement for more than two millennia, Paris is today one of the world's leading business and cultural centres, and its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world's major global cities; and one of the most visited.
